Today, the Toronto Blue Jays traded away their 26-year-old prospect Tanner Morris to the Minnesota Twins, who sent back some cash considerations in return.

According to tsn, Tanner Morris was taken by the Blue Jays in the fifth round of the MLB draft in 2019. For most of his tenure with the organization, he has been playing with the Triple-A affiliate down in Buffalo. Last season, he played 96 games, although he only had six home runs and 50 RBI. Additionally, his batting average was .281, which is, well...average.
As reporter Scott Mitchell put it, there just wasn't any space for Tanner Morris in the Blue Jays organization anymore. Consequently, they made the deal with the Twins, which will now bring some cash flow into the franchise. It remains to be seen what the immediate effects of this trade will look like for the Buffalo Bisons.
"Hearing #BlueJays have traded 2B/3B prospect Tanner Morris, 26, to the Twins in exchange for cash considerations. Essentially had nowhere to play at AAA. He had fallen off my top 50 this year."
Later today, the Toronto Blue Jays will get to play against the Houston Astros. Despite the fact that the Astros are 0-4 to start the season, they are considered the favorites in this game. Bowden Francis will be getting the start for the Jays, and this game could potentially be his coming out party. After all, it is his first start in Major League Baseball.
