The Blue Jays currently sit in last place of the AL East division and things just seem to be getting worse.
They have now lost 10 of their last 13 games and sit 7.5 games behind the first place Orioles. At this time last year, the Jays were 21-16 but this year have a record of 16-20. The offense has been struggling once again but unfortunately pitching has not been bailing them out as it did last year.
Some major names have been underperforming but all eyes are one GM Ross Atkins and manager John Schneider who seem to have made multiple mistakes without any consequences over the past few years.
With the Toronto #BlueJays sitting in the basement of the AL East standings, drastic changes might be needed to save the 2024 season.
Schneider has made multiple questionable moves with the lineup during his time with the Jays and even in the wild card series last year where he pulled Berrios after 3 shutout innings only for the Jays to end up getting swept.
Atkins on the other hand has been living off the job that he was part of during the 2016 and since then has done barely anything for the team. He has promised every off-season to make big moves but has failed to deliver every year including this one.
Toronto needs to make some big changes and unless they plan on trading away one of their stars, they will need to clean house of management and start fresh.
