Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Jordan Romano missed the majority of the season due to an injury and it looks like he might be non-tendered due to this.
Romano missed the majority of the 2024 season due to right elbow inflammation as he only pitched a total of 13.2 innings with a 1-2 record and a 6.59 ERA before being placed on IL in late May.
The Blue Jays might decide to not bring pitcher Jordan Romano back for the 2025 season
The Blue Jays are looking to have a big transition in their bullpen this off-season as they do not want to have another season like 2024 when their bullpen was costing them games instead of helping them win.
"Closer Jordan Romano is projected to make $7.75 million in arbitration but if his status after elbow surgery is too uncertain, he could be non-tendered to create additional spending room."

If the Blue Jays decide to non-tender Romano, he will instantly become a free agent and Toronto will need to et busy trying to find a replacement since he was a massive part of the rotation prior to the 2024 season.
The decision comes down to Romano health but as of right now, his injury does not look good which is why most insiders believe the Blue Jays will be walking away.
Hopefully if the Blue Jays do end up going a different route, they will be able to find a strong bullpen arm that could fill his shoes.
