Following the New York Yankees collapse in game 5 of the World Series giving the Los Angeles Dodgers the champions, legends Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter did not hold back on their former team.
Rodriguez is arguably one of the best players of all-time and helped lead the Yankees to their last World Series win 2009 and maybe in New York consider him one of the best Yankees ever. Jeter on the other hand is considered a god in New York City as he lead the team to multiple World Series during his career.
Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter rip into the New York Yankees after World Series loss
The Yankees were up early in game 5 of the World Series as they took a commanding 5-0 lead which most fans believed to be the end of the game as the two teams would be headed back to Los Angeles for game 6.

After the game, Rodriguez did not mince words, ripping into his former team, calling this game one of the greatest meltdowns he has seen in the last 40 years which proves just how terrible he thought this was.

Even Derek Jeter joined in on the fun stating that he had never seen an inning in the World Series quite like the 5th inning last night.
