The Toronto Blue Jays are looking to bring in some solid hitters this off-season and there have been a ton of reports stating they will be going after Gleyber Torres who now a free agent after losing in the World Series with the New York Yankees.
Torres is coming off a great past couple season in New York including helping the Yankees reach the World Series which they lost in 5 games to the Los Angeles Dodgers a couple days ago.

The Yankees second baseman has been very consistent at the plate over the last two years which got him an All-Star nomination plus a total of 62 homeruns over the last two seasons.
Torres has been with the Yankees at the big league level since 2018, when he made his debut. A fan favorite, Torres was named to the All-Star Game in his first two seasons after hitting a combined 62 home runs. -Conahan
As he looks towards his free agency, the slugging second baseman should have multiple suitors. In a recent column from David Schoenfield of ESPN, Torres was linked to the Toronto Blue Jays, who Schoenfield named the «best fit» for his services. -Conahan

The Jays were playing a first baseman at second base down the stretch in Spencer Horwitz so Torres might fit there - although a middle infield of Bichette and Torres could be problematic.»
While the Blue Jays seem to have a ton of options for their infield, apart from Vladimir Guerrero at first base, they have no true starters as they had first baseman Spencer Horwitz playing second base at the end of the season.
