A new team has emerged as a front runner to acquire Toronto Blue jays shortstop Bo Bichette

The Toronto Blue Jays have admitted that they are shopping shortstop https://www.markerzone.com/baseball/stats/mlb/player/Bo-Bichette-33511 this off-season as they have for the last few years and it looks like the Milwaukee Brewers are very interested in trading for him.
Bichette is coming off the worse season of his career due to average numbers at the plate combined with a long list of injuries that kept his from playing the majority of the season.

The Blue Jays have been rumored to be shopping Bichette over the last few years and with how the 2024 season went, it looks like they have finally decided to move on from the shortstop not because he is a bad player but due to the fact that the team needs more to win.
According to reports many teams are interested in Bichette despite how his last season went and while some believe that his stock has never been lower, due to the weak shortstop free agent class, the Blue Jays should still be able to get a solid return.
"Toronto could look to trade him, clearing a lane for Orelvis Martinez to come up to the big leagues and start at shortstop. Bichette is still young and packs a ton of talent, so his value in a trade would be higher than his play was last year, especially with how many teams are going to be looking for a shortstop this Winter," wrote Pressnell. "The Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers all come to mind as teams that would be aggressive in trying to acquire Bichette if the Blue Jays opt to move him."
Brewers current shortstop Willy Adames is set to become a free agent this winter and will not be returning to the team which is why insider Zach Pressnell has reported that the Brewers could be very interested in trading for Bichette.
