The Toronto Blue Jays announced that 15 players including 10 pitchers have elected free agency which the biggest surprise comes from pitcher Eric Pardinho.

The Blue Jays will have a seriously busy winter looking for free agents that will be able to help their team in the majors next season but it looks like they will now also need to focus on finding a ton minor league players as well.

Blue Jays lose 15 players to minor league free agency

According to reports, an incredible 513 minor league players elected for free agency on Monday which includes 15 Blue Jays players of which 10 are right handed pitchers.
While every year each team has quite a few minor league players that decide to leave the organization for a better opportunity elsewhere, the biggest suprises come from Eric Pardinho, Yerry Rodriguez and Sebastian Espino. All three pitchers were expected to return to the Blue Jays organization next season but it looks like they have changed their mind.
The following #BlueJays have elected minor league free agency (per Baseball America).

Eric Pardinho is the most surprising of the bunch for sure. Have to think the Jays will try and bring him back.
By far the most surprising player to leave here is Eric Pardinho, who did a ton to raise his stock in 2024. The 23-year-old has overcome a ton of injuries to get healthy and return to the mound. He made a total of 45 appearances in 2024, posting a 3.25 ERA with 66 strikeouts and 28 walks in 55.1 innings of work. While he likely won't return to a starting role, he thrived as a reliever and is the one player here who must be brought back before another team brings him aboard as a diamond in the rough signing. -Treuden

Atkins better have a plan ready as he has a lot of players to go after this off-season and if he is not ready, the Blue Jays will end up in a serious hole.
