The Yankees are the Dallas Cowboys of the MLB and with that comes a lot of hate due to the fact that they are the wealthiest team and are able to land all the biggest names.
While it is normal to see the Yankees receive hate from the outside, it is surprising to see it come from such former legends of the team.
Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter think the Yankees have an easy path to the World Series
During a broadcast yesterday after the Los Angeles Dodgers game, Jeter and Rodriguez were talking with former Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz about how the Yankees currently have an easy road to the World Series.
"You don't have to say it, I'll say it. They have an easy road to the World Series"
@AROD talks about the Yankees path to the World Series this year
According to Rodriguez, the Kansas City Royals were an easy matchup last round for the Yankees even if the series went to four games and this series against the Cleveland Guardians should be another easy one.
While the Dodgers definitely had a tougher matchup last round against the San Diego Padres, this round will not be easy for the Yankees as the Guardians have a very strong lineup despite being the only team with a payroll under $300 million left in the post season.
Fans were quick to respond on social media agreeing with Rodriguez comments even if they still want to see the Yankees lose in this round or the World Series.
