The New York Yankees announced this morning their roster heading into the American League Championship Series and former Toronto Blue Jay Marcus Stroman is on the Roster.
In the American League Division Series against the Kansas City Royals, the Blue Jays former ace was left of the roster which came as a bit of a surprise to most since he had a decent season even if he is not the pitcher he once was.
Yankees put Anthony Rizzo and Marcus Stroman back on the roster
Reports came out yesterday that the Yankees might leave Stroman off of the roster for this series against the Guardians as well but it looks like he will be on it after all. The Yankees announced this morning that both Anthony Rizzo and Marcus Stroman will be on the roster for the American League Championship Series against the Cleveland Guardians.
Anthony Rizzo and Marcus Stroman are back on the roster!
There has been not update on if Stroman will actually take the mound in this series but now that he is on the roster, there is always a chance he gets a crack at a game against the Guardians.
Relief pitcher Tim Mayza who was with the Blue Jays until he was put on waivers near the end of the season will be on the roster as well which comes as less of a surprise since he played against the Royals in the last round.
It will be interesting to see if these former Blue Jays can help the Yankees get back to the World Series as it will not be an easy job against the Guardians this series despite New York having an insane lineup.
