Vladimir Guerrero Jr's has no plan on signing with the Blue Jays in free agency and wants to go to rival

The Toronto Blue Jays negotiations with Vladimir Guerrero Jr have gone quite terribly so far this off-season and it looks like he has no plan on going back if a deal is not done before Spring Training.
The Blue Jays know exactly how much Guerrero is looking for out of his next contract but for some reason do not believe that he is worth that much which is why they continue to hold out.
Bob Nightengale announces Vladimir Guerrero Jr has no plan on signing with the Blue Jays in free agency
The Blue Jays seem to be in a very bad spot with Guerrero and he has told them if they do not raise their offer by the first day of Spring Training, he will not be negotiating with them passed that date.
According to MLB insider Bob Nightengale, if the Blue Jays are not able to raise their offer for Guerrero by Spring Training he has no plans on signing with them in free agency next off-season.
«If Guerrero Jr. doesn't receive an extension by ST, he'll test free agency, and likely will be wearing a Boston Red Sox uniform in 2026. He would love to be with the Red Sox, friends say, which may be why the Red Sox are hesitant in their pursuit of Bregman.»
If Guerrero does end up going to free agency next off-season, Nightengale believes that his goal is to sign with the Boston Red Sox and Boston is likely very interested in signing the first baseman.

It is clear that Atkins has completely overplayed his hand with Guerrero and is now likely to lose him to free agency as the relationship between the two seems terrible.
If Guerrero ends up leaving for nothing if free agency, Atkins job is as good as gone.
