Even though it seems crazy because Vladdy won a Gold Glove at First base in 2022, it also makes a ton of sense why he has the skill set to be a competent defender at third base in order to get some more offensive bats in the line up.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will start at 3rd base tonight as the #BlueJays resume their series vs Corbin Burnes and the Orioles at 7pm ET #Sportsne

He has even showed that he has no problem manning the hot corner with some unbelievable plays. It helps to bring in Daniel Vogelbach and Justin Turner and make room for other potential bats to try and contribute to the offense.
