Trade offer announced that would bring Dustin May to the Toronto Blue Jays

A trade proposal has surfaced between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers as the dodgers have lost four of their last five on the road and may look for another bat.
According to TJ French of Athlon Sports, the proposed trade would see Blue Jays superstar Bo Bichette head to the West Coast in exchange for starting pitcher Dustin May and top infield prospect Alex Freeland,
Bichette viewed as unlikely to resign with the Blue Jays
"This is a situation where the Dodgers can sell high on Dustin May, who has had a solid start to the 2025 campaign, but may be out of a starter spot whenever Shohei Ohtani returns to the mound," French wrote.
"As for Bichette, he would be a great addition to Los Angeles. He is coming off a down season where he hit just .225 over 81 games in 2024 but led the American League in hits in both 2021 and 2022 and has shown the ability to be an extra-base hit machine." - TJ French
Some pundits across Major League Baseball feel that Bichette will not return to the Blue Jays after his contract runs out at the end of the season. The team had made a major decision several days ago signing Vladimir Guerrero junior to a 14-year deal worth $500 million.
It's too early to tell, but according to Bichette, there have been no contract negotiations between himself and the Blue Jays yet.
"It's also our vision for them to continue to play together." Ross Atkins speaks on the team's negotiations with Bo Bichette after extending Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Plenty of time to see where Bichette will go
Despite this proposal, Blue Jays fans will likely wait out and see where Bichette will go whether he remains with the team or is traded at the July trade deadline especially if the Blue Jays are out of the playoff picture.
In the meantime, the Blue Jays will likely keep Bichette for the time being and see what he can do for the team as they know his tendencies and style of play.
The Blue Jays will play their final game against the Boston Red Sox as they close out a four-game series where they are currently up 3-0. The final game will take place at 4:10 PM eastern on April 10th.
