Toronto Blue Jays prospect pitcher Lazaro Estrada has been turning heads at Arizona Fall League as he continues to impress and make a name for himself.
The Toronto Blue Jays sent eight minor leaguers to the desert to get some extra reps this fall. Among the Blue Jays on the Scottsdale Scorpions roster is Lazaro Estrada, a right-handed pitcher who casual fans likely haven't heard much about. The 25-year-old Cuban put his name back on the map in 2024 with a comeback season after a few lost years thanks to injuries and the pandemic. -Fisher

The 25 year old pitcher has continued to impress in Arizona for the Scottsdale Scorpions with 14 strikeouts in 8 innings pitched, giving up 4 earned runs in that time which 3 of them came in his last inning pitched.
With a 1-0 record in three relief appearances for the Scorpions, he has allowed four earned runs in 8 2/3 innings (three of those runs came in his most recent three-inning outing on Oct. 23). He has shown off his swing and miss stuff, logging 14 strikeouts, easily leading the Scorpions staff and topping all pitchers in the AFL. -Fisher
Due to a great run during the 2024 season and continuing to impress in this fall league, Estrada will definitely have a lot of eyes on him heading into the 2025 season, especially if continue to play well.
While making it to the majors will not be an easy task for Estrada, if he is able to continue to play the way he has been, he will possibly get a shot.
