One of the top priorities for the Toronto Blue Jays heading into free agency is finding a strong starting pitcher to bring in which the market has plenty of this year with Blake Snell, Corbin Burnes and many more.

While the Blue Jays just need to simply sign pitchers this off-season as their bullpen and starting rotation needs to improve drastically, getting a great starting pitcher seems to be at the top of the list.

Many strong starting pitchers available for the Blue Jays to go after this off-season

The number one option on the board without a doubt is Baltimore Orioles Corbin Burnes who is coming off of a great 2024 season with a 2.95 ERA but due to these incredible numbers, he will likely be getting a massive contract in return.
Burnes will cost a pretty penny as the most coveted pitcher on the market, but he'll almost certainly be worth the hefty price tag. He's proven to be one of the most durable starters in the game (three straight years with 30+ starts) and is a virtual lock to post an ERA around 3.00, roughly 200 innings, and 200 strikeouts in a season. -Leger

Another great options would be Giants Blake Snell who is set to become a free agent this winter and is also coming of a great season with a 3.12 ERA. Snell won the Cy Young in 2023 and will liekly be signing a long term contract this off season if he refuses his Giants $38.5 million option.
Despite winning the 2023 NL Cy Young award, Snell didn't sign his free-agent contract until March 27, the eve of Opening Day. It shouldn't take so long for teams to throw money at him this time around. -Leger

Braves pitcher Max Fried is another incredible pitcher that could definitely help the Blue Jays out if they are able to make him a proper offer since he will not be cheap.
As arguably the top left-hander available, Fried will be pricey. But after him, Burnes, and Snell, there aren't many bonafide aces in this year's free-agent class. -Leger

There are also other starting pitchers that could be of interest to the Blue Jays but not on the same level as these three with Jack Flaherty, Nathan Eovadi, Sean Manea, Michael Wacha, Luis Severino, Yusei Kikuchi and Shane Bieber all set to become free agents as well.
