The Toronto Blue Jays have made a key observation which explains the team's great start to the season and are competing for first place in the American League East.

Many have taken note that there is a difference in the clubhouse that has helped the team with its fast start and there is a different feel and sense around the ball club that gives fans and the organization hope for this season.

Schneider notices differences compared to last season's edition

«I think that everyone in there is in a different point in their career compared to
last year, for the guys that have been here,» said Schneider. «Adding the people, not just the players, that we did helped with that a lot. There was a very deliberate effort from myself and the staff to lay out what's important. It takes a lot of conversations and communication and time together when things are either good or bad, giving them the why. Being deliberate with those conversations.» - John Schneider
«There is a different feel when everyone is on the same page.»

Several players within the clubhouse have noticed the difference as well and have begun to voice their opinions on what's different and why the Blue Jays are having success.
«Everybody's kind of bought in that you've got to be selfless in this game and the most important thing at the end of the day is a win or a loss, whether you hit five homers in a game or none The selflessness, you're seeing guys if they move somebody over, they're clapping. It's not, oh, shoot, I flew out. It's I got a guy to third base because I have confidence in the guy behind me. Over the span of time, that's going to do a lot of good.» -George Springer
Despite a few setbacks that have occured in the past few series including the Seattle Mariners and the New York Mets, the Blue Jays feel more resilient and willing to bounce back quickly after a tough loss.

Blue Jays pitching some of the best in the MLB

The early stats are showing that the Blue Jays are receiving some excellent pitching especially from their veteran starters and their closer Jeff Hoffman. They have also received good innings from their relief pitching which was a disaster last season.
«The boys are juiced. We're super connected. From the coaching staff and everyone down, it's a different feel.» - Bowden Francis

George Springer is still having a strong start to his season and several Blue Jays are beginning to find their rhythm in their offence especially Anthony Santander and Vladimir Guerrero junior.
The Blue Jays will continue to ramp up the season as they now go back on the road for a two series set against the Houston Astros and the New York Yankees.
If the success continues, the Blue Jays could find themselves on top of the American League East once they returned from New York.
Game one of the Astros will take place on April 21st and game time will be 8:10pm eastern.
