Toronto Blue Jays announce discouraging update regarding Nick Sandlin's injury

The Toronto Blue Jays continue to have problems when it comes to their pitchers staying healthy as they have given an update on Nick Sandlin's injury.
The Blue Jays announced that they placed Sandlin on IL a couple days ago as he is dealing with a lat injury which is the same day they decided to DFA pitcher Jacob Barnes.

Toronto's pitcher cannot seem to stay healthy this season as they already had Erik Swanson, Ryan Burr and Max Scherzer on IL before Sandlin got injured a few days ago.
Hazel Mae announced that the Blue Jays gave Sandlin a PRP shot in hopes of speeding up his recovery while Erik Swanson will be throwing from the bullpen today and live batting practice.

Set to receive PRP injection tomorrow in Toronto. Hope to speed up the recovery process.
*Erik Swanson (forearm) will throw pen tomorrow after his live BP/sim game "just to get on mound before facing hitters again." Then, rehab games

Nick Sandlin (right lat) will receive a PRP injection in Toronto on Tuesday. Blue Jays hope it will help speed up his recovery process.
The good news in all of this is that hopefully Swanson will be making his return soon to the bullpen but it certainly does not look too good right now as the only pitcher that seems to be reliable in the bullpen in Jeff Hoffman.
Hopefully the PRP injections will truly help Sandlin as he was off to a solid start to the season and they need him back in the lineup as soon as possible.
