The Toronto Blue Jays still need to land a starting pitcher this off-season and free agent Jack Flaherty might be their best option at this point.

After missing out on both Corbin Burnes and Max Fried this off-season, the Blue Jays are left with having to pick from what is left in free agency unless they decided to make a massive trade.

The Blue Jays could look to sign former Dodgers pitcher Jack Flaherty

The Blue Jays need to start making moves as the free agent market have very few solid players left and it looks like Jack Flahherty might be their best option in terms of starting pitchers.
Reigning 2024 World Series champion Jack Flaherty is still on the open market. The standout free agent has ace qualities. He led the Los Angeles Dodgers charge last season after their rotation was ravished with injuries. -Legros

Flaherty spent the 21024 season split between the Dodgers and Detroit Tigers in which he put up great numbers with a 3.17 ERA in 162 innings pitched to go along with 194 strikeouts.
The native then moved to Los Angeles, where he finished the campaign with a 6-2 record and a 3.58 ERA. Any team who inherits his cumulative 3.17 ERA and 194 strikeouts, heightened by his stellar 32.1 percent whiff rate (91st percentile), 29.9 percent strikeout rate (90th percentile), and encouraging 5.9 percent walk rate (83rd percentile) would inherit a stout lead man with praiseworthy efficacy. -Legros

The former Dodgers pitcher was a massive part of their playoff run which resulted in them beating the New York Yankees in the World Series in five games.
While fans were hoping to lock down an ace caliber pitcher, Flaherty is coming off one of the best seasons of his career and could be a great option for the Blue Jays next season.
If Ross Atkins decides to let someone else sign him as well when it is safe to say the Blue Jays starting rotation will struggle next season.
