Kevin Gausman inked a substantial five-year deal worth $110 million with the Toronto Blue Jays on December 1, 2021. In the 2022 regular season, he took the mound 31 times, securing 12 wins against 10 losses with an earned run average of 3.35. Additionally, Gausman contributed to the Blue Jays' postseason run with one start in the Wild Card Series versus the Seattle Mariners.
The following season, in 2023, Gausman showcased his dominance as he amassed impressive stats. Over 185 innings pitched, he maintained a commendable ERA of 3.16, while also leading the American League with a remarkable 237 strikeouts. These stellar performances led to Gausman finishing third in the 2023 Cy Young Award voting, highlighting his dominance.
One of Gausman's strengths is his diverse pitch repertoire. He effectively mixes fastballs, breaking balls, and off-speed pitches to keep hitters guessing and prevent them from getting comfortable in the batter's box. His fastball consistently clocks in at a high velocity, allowing him to overpower hitters when needed.

His consistency, command, and arsenal of pitches make him a formidable opponent for any lineup, and his contributions have been instrumental in the success of both the Giants and the Blue Jays during this period.
