The Toronto Blue Jays are reportedly interested in signing free agent second baseman Yoan Moncada who is one of the worst second baseman on the free agent market.
The Blue Jays are in need of a second baseman but they have been looking at throughout the off-season but they ideally need one that can also bring in some offense which is why they have looked at players such as Gleyber Torres.

Moncada have become a free agent this off-season after the Chicago White Sox decided to decline his $25 million team option and he apparently now have quite a few teams interested including the Blue Jays.
Moncada became a free agent this offseason after the White Sox declined his $25 million team option. The connection to the Blue Jays makes sense for Toronto, who have openings at second base and third base (in theory). Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette are locked into infield spots next year, and if the team elects to keep Guerrero Jr. at first base, Moncada could slide over to third. -Farkas
Despite the Blue Jays needing a second baseman, Moncada has struggled to stay healthy over the last few seasons and his last full season came in 2021 with 14 homeruns and 61 RBIs with a .263 batting average.
Fans have already been showing up online stating that they do not want the Blue Jays to sign him since he is not what they need as he is injury prone and does not bring in enough offense.

He's pretty much terrible at all things baseball, but the good news is he's not always healthy
Clearly signing Gleyber Torres would be a much better option and hopefully Atkins sees that as well if not the Blue Jays will end up with another second baseman that can't hit.
