The Toronto Blue Jays are still looking to a close a solid hitter this off-season and it looks like they might put together a monster offer for free agent Pete Alonso.
The Blue Jays seem to be closing in on a deal with Anthony Santander but as things continue to go on as he wants more money than there original offer, the Blue Jays need to look at alternatives.
The Blue Jays could potentially make a massive offer to free agent Pete Alonso
The Blue Jays have been linked to a ton of free agents this off-season but have failed to close a deal on any of the top players available this winter as they seem to continuously miss out.

MLB insider Mark Feinsand believes that the Blue Jays along with the San Francisco Giants could be the favorites to land
Alonso this off-season but the New York Mets have also expressed that they would want him back.
Insider Mark Feinsand of MLB.com believes it's a possibility. He recently called the Blue Jays a "club to watch" for Alonso as his free agency continues into the new year.
"Two other clubs to watch are the Giants and Blue Jays, each of whom has been connected to Alonso at some point this offseason," Feinsand wrote.
According to a recent report, the Blue Jays could be interested in making
Alonso an offer that would be around $130 million over 5 years which would pay him $26 million per season.
Alonso is projected for a five-year, $130 million contract by Tim Britton of The Athletic. It doesn't seem as though the Mets have an offer on the table that satisfies him yet, so Toronto's best chance may be to come in over the top with a godfather offer of sorts. -Roberts
If the Blue Jays could lock down a deal with Alonso, he would definitely bring some much needed offense to their lineup as he is known as one of the best hitters in the MLB.
