The Blue Jays have announced that three pitchers will be starting the season on IL
The Blue Jays have been dealing with quite a few injuries issues so far this season which is why they have signed a few pitchers during camp to make sure they are covered for the start of the season.
According to reports, the Blue Jays will have pitchers Ryan Burr, Zach Pop and Erik Swanson will all be starting the season on IL but a status on when they are expected to return has not been determined.
Blue Jays relievers Erik Swanson, Zach Pop, & Ryan Burr will begin year on MLB IL
Swanson's the closest to returning. He received a cortisone shot recently to address a nerve entrapment in right elbow and has resumed activity. He's about a week or two from throwing off a mound
This is not the way the Blue Jays want to start the season but the good news is that they have some solid options as replacements but they are hoping that specifically
Swanson and Burr are back soon.
Hopefully once the season begins the Blue Jays finally get some peace when it comes to injuries but it does not seem likely the way things are going.
