The Toronto Blue Jays made their final cuts yesterday for Opening Day and announced a long list of roster moves prior to the the season beginning.

The Blue Jays made a lot of surprising moves in the past couple days such as releasing pitcher Ryan Yarbrough to free agency which most did not see coming after how he played last season.

Blue Jays announce a bunch of roster moves prior to Opening Day

The Blue Jays announce quite a few roster moves as both Addison Barger and Steward Berroa have been optioned down to Triple-A to start the 2025 season.
They also announced that catcher Christian Bethancourt, LHP Eric Lauer, catcher Ali Sanchez and infielder Michael Stefanic have all been reassigned to minor league camp.
ROSTER MOVES:

UTIL Addison Barger and OF Steward Berroa have been optioned to Triple-A.

The following players have been reassigned to Minor League camp:

C Christian Bethancourt
LHP Eric Lauer
C Ali Sánchez
INF Michael Stefanic

Additionally, LHP Ryan Yarbrough has been granted his release and is now a free agent.
The biggest surprise of all of this is still the Blue Jays deciding to not bring back Yarbrough after he forced the team to either bring him onto the 26 man roster or release him into free agency.
Hoepfully the Blue Jays made all the right moves here but if they realize that they made some mistakes they make the right switches before they are too deep into the season.
The only real move that they will not be able to go back on is bringing back Yarbrough since he will likely sign elsewhere in the coming weeks.
