The Toronto Blue Jays seem to be making a ton of moves lately regarding their coaching staff Guillermo Martinez was fired yesterday and now Jeff Ware, Gil Kim and David Howell are all done as well.
While the Blue Jays decided to fire Martinez yesterday, it looks like Howell, Kim and Ware won't be facing the same terrible faith as they are being demoted instead of fired but that still does put an end to their time in the majors.
While the team doesn't quite appear to be firing the three coaches, they seem to be essentially demoting them into minor league roles after a disappointing season for the club. The moves are the Jays' second, third, and fourth in the past two days. -Laskaris
More Blue Jays changes as Gil Kim (field-co-ordinator) and Jeff Ware (assistant pitching coach) won't be back on major-league staff, per multiple industry sources.
Club is working on potential re-assignments for both of them and David Howell, another assistant pitching coach.
While these moves are not necessarily bad ones since having new voices in the clubhouse might help the players next season, the coaches they are getting rid of are not ones that make that big of a difference.
Fans are still calling for Don Mattingly and John Schneider to be fired after this horrible season and hope that general manager Ross Atkins is also relieved of his position even if that seems very unlikely at this point.
Shi this is like removing bread crumbs from a table of salad , steak and dessert - need to address the head of the snake , GM and Manager but clearly these moves and yesterdays tell us status quo is the order of the day #bringbsckAlex
