Toronto Blue Jays Infielder, Spencer Horwitz sat down with FanGraphs David Laurila, to talk about what makes him such a good hitter and what the most metrics are to focus on.

Horwitx talked about the importance of the process and doing the right things instead of cousing on results. Results aren't everything, if you are hitting the ball hard and focus on the proper metrics, results will be a by product of those.
«I'd say a combination of a few. I think line drive percentage is really important. I think chase rate is really important. I'd say hard-hit rate is important. Those three things. If you're hitting the ball hard on a line and swinging at the pitches you should be swinging at, I think you're a really good hitter.»
«I would say I'm an evolved hitter. I have some traits that I've worked on, I have some traits that I fall back on, and there is all the in between. I'm just trying to keep growing as a hitter, just keep getting better and better.»

Horwitz is right, id you are doing the right things everyday and focus on what you are doing right, like hitting hard line drives and not chasing bad pitches out of the zone, over time results are going to be apparent.
Maybe Horwitz should be the Jays hitting coach lol.
