Blue Jays fans have been clear since the off-season that they believe Ross Atkins and manager John Schneider should be fired after consistently mismanaging the team over the last little bit.
In a recent interview, pitcher Jordan Romano surprisingly defended his GM and manager stating that they are not the ones that are playing, they are only there to support the team and that they needs to play better.
«Zero,» Romano said without hesitation. «They're not out there playing for us. They're there to support us, make the right decisions, and I feel like they're doing all the right things. It's up to the players. We're the ones playing the game ... and we've just got to do a little better.»
While this statement shows that Romano is an honorable guy, it is hard to justify what he is saying as Atkins has put this team together and Schneider has made a number of bad decision during his time in Toronto.
Romano does have a biased opinion, especially regarding Schneider since the two have been together of 4 different teams throughout the years.
