According to reports, the Toronto Blue Jays might be looking at firing quite a few people including general manager Ross Atkins next week.

Most fans believed that Atkins and Shapiro would be sticking around for next season since ownership did not get rid of them before the trade deadline and MLB draft allowing them to make so big moves for the team's future.
Despite that, it looks like the owners might look into firing a few people within the front office including Atkins which despite not making a ton of sense after the decision to keep him until the end of the year would make the entire fan base incredibly happy.
Do you think someone's getting fired next week?

While most signs pointed to Atkins staying on for another season, getting rid of him is clearly the right move as he has been with the Blue Jays for almost a decade as has nothing to show for it apart from a couple decent signings.
If the Blue Jays truly plan on turning things around next season, as they have to team to do it, make some changes within the front- office seems like a necessity even though that does not mean it will happen.
At this point, fans can only cross their fingers that these rumors are true and hope that Atkins is replaced prior to free agency so that the Blue Jays can start off the 2025 season in a new direction.
You would think so after what nine years and arguably being worse off now then anytime in the last four years.
I doubt it but sure hope so.

The Shapiro / Atkins experiment has failed and they need somebody new in role.
