Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman closed out his season last night in a beautiful way leading the Blue Jays to a win over the Boston Red Sox.
Gausman started the season off in rough shape after he admitted to coming back from injury way too early which resulted in a tough first half of the season as he had one of the worst ERAs on the team.
The Blue Jays pitcher had an incredible turn around in the second half of the year as he regained the title of Blue Jays ace putting up incredible numbers with a 2.92 ERA, in 77 innings pitcher and a 1.10 WHIP.
Despite a tough start to the year, Gausman was able to salvage his year as his second half boosted his numbers by quite a bit finishing the season with a 3.83 ERA in 181 innings pitched and 162 strike outs on the year.
That's it for Kevin Gausman's 2024 after six innings of one-run ball.
 3.83 ERA 181 innings 162 strikeouts
Gausman's season impressed me in ways I didn't expect. This wasn't the dominant Gausman of '22-'23, but he made it work. Great pitcher, great contract. #BlueJays
The Blue Jays pitcher finished the season on a strong not leading the Blue Jays to a 6-1 win over the Red Sox in which he pitched 6 innings, giving up only 4 hits and one earned runs while striking out 4 atters.
