President Mark Shapiro and general manager Ross Atkins have had 9 years to try and make things work in Toronto and have failed once again which is why they should be relieved of their positions.

Shapiro came into the picture in 2015 when the Blue Jays lost in the American League Championship even though he was officially part of the team. According to reports the reason general manager Alex Anthopoulos left was because he did not agree with Shapiro's way of working moving forward.
He was around, although not officially, when the 2015 Blue Jays went to the American League Championship Series and should have gone to the World Series in their best season since the World Series years. He was around long enough just after that to scare Alex Anthopoulous into leaving the Jays, all the while knowing he, Shapiro, didn't want to work with Anthopoulos philosophically or in any other way. -Simmons

Shapiro then decided to bring in his good friend Ross Atkins who has been managing the club every since without leading the Blue Jays to a single playoff win in over 4 years.
The two members of the Blue Jays front-office as set to meet with Rogers this week and it is clear they should be fired but with how things have gone in the past, fans do not believe this will happen if they are desperately hoping it does.
Throughout Anthopoulos' time with the Blue Jays he never once met with Edward Rogers until the end when he was trying to leave which shows that this meeting coming up is definitely not a good one.
Shapiro all but pushed Anthopoulos out of the job. And this is one of the few instances when owner Rogers briefly got involved. Rogers didn't want to lose Anthopoulos, primarily because his friends told him that. But as owner, Rogers had never met his general manager, if you can believe that, which tells you all you need to know about Rogers as a sports owner. -Simmons
