After taking the first 2 games of the series, the issue of consistency is resurfacing as the Blue Jays drop the 3rd and final game to the Seattle Mariners. The offence is nowhere to be seen while defense and pitching are not helping the cause either.

Cal Raleigh hits 2-run HR in 10th inning, Mariners beat Blue Jays 6-1 to avoid sweep
Releiver Tim Mayza is struggling this season so far and his outing against the mariners was no different. Mayze gave up a monster blast to star catcher Cal Raleigh, Cal Raleigh's 2nd of the season and two-run home run in the 10th inning solidified the Seattle Mariners win to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 6-1.
Tim Mayza has now appeared in 7 games this season and maybe we should worry... He is now 0-1 with an astonishing 12.46 era. Nothing shows a pitcher's woes is having more games appeared than innings pitched where in those 7 games, he only has 4.1 IP.
According to Manager John Schneider:
«His stuff isn't quite there; it was a tough outing for Tim.»

Cal Raleigh seems to have the Blue Jays number, he has hit nine home runs and collected 16 RBI in 15 regular-season games against the Blue Jays. Notably, he has hit seven of those home runs in Toronto Rogers Centre, more than any other opposing ballpark, including postseason games. When asked he said he loved playing hitting in Toronto... obviously.
«I like coming here, it's good memories here, going all the way back to '22.» - Raleigh

Vlad Guerrero jr. smashed his third home run of the season, a towering 459-foot solo shot. However, in the bottom of the ninth, the Blue Jays squandered a scoring opportunity as they left the bases loaded against Mariners' right-hander Andrés Muoz.
Following a one-out single by Justin Turner, pinch runner Davis Schneider entered the game. Cavan Biggio was hit by a pitch, but Alejandro Kirk lined out, and pinch hitter Daniel Vogelbach drew a walk to load the bases. Muoz then retired Ernie Clement, sending the game to extra innings.
We all know what the result was in extras... Cal Raleigh happened.
