The Toronto Blue Jays are looking to bring in a new big time hitter this off-season and it looks like they have there eyes on former Blue Jays Teoscar Hernandez.

Hernandez is currently in the post-season with the Los Angeles Dodgers as they look to begin their series against the San Diego Padres in which the 31 year old will be a huge piece for the Dodgers on offense after another incredible season.
Hernandez had a fantastic season with the Los Angeles Dodgers and will be a key piece to the puzzle for the postseason. The 31-year-old outfielder hit .272 with 33 home runs, 99 RBI, 12 stolen bases, and an .840 OPS. -Bishop

The former Blue Jay is set to receive quite the big pay day this off-season as he will likely be signing a multi year deal which the Blue Jays can most certainly afford if they are truly planning on bringing in a big time bat for next year.
In all likelihood, he'll be in line to sign a multi-year deal, and the Blue Jays certainly have the money to pull it off.

General Manager Ross Atkins will also be motivated to improve the team after this year's debacle. -Bishop

Hernandez spent six incredible season with the Blue Jays and has said in many interviews that he loved being in Toronto which means he could be highly motivated to return if Ross Atkins makes him the right offer.
"Teoscar Hernandez played six seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, slashing .263/.320/.503 with 129 home runs in 609 games with the team," Pressnell wrote. "The Blue Jays are now looking to completely rebuild their team in one offseason, and they will be looking at all the top free agents in order to improve their team."

The worrisome part of free agency this year is that Atkins mentioned how he is excited to get aggressive in free agency but also mentioned that they do not want to spend a lot of money which most fans do nott understand how that will work.
