On Saturday, the Toronto Blue Jays disclosed that they had engaged in a transaction with the San Francisco Giants, whereby they traded away their right-handed pitcher, Mitch White. In return for White's services, the Blue Jays received cash considerations from the Giants.

At the age of 29, Mitch White, previously with the Los Angeles Dodgers, entered the fold of the Toronto Blue Jays through a trade deal in August of 2022.
This year, White has logged 10 innings on the mound for Toronto, during which he recorded a 5.40 ERA, conceding 10 hits while notching six strikeouts and issuing four walks.
However, his tenure with the team took a turn when, on April 16, he was designated for assignment following the clearance for Jordan Romano and Erik Swanson to return to active duty.
Mitch White's arrival to the Toronto Blue Jays was part of a broader deal during the 2022 trade deadline, where he, alongside infielder Alex de Jesus, was acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers. In exchange, the Blue Jays parted with promising pitching prospects Nick Frasso and Moises Brito. This acquisition was anticipated to fortify the Jays' pitching depth for the crucial stretch run of the season.
While White had exhibited considerable promise during his time with the Dodgers, transitioning to the Blue Jays uniform has seen him struggle to fulfill the lofty expectations set for him. Despite his prior successes, White has yet to fully realize his potential within the Blue Jays organization.
