Back in February, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred stated that the Blue Jays and Cubs will bet the next two teams to host the All-Star game in 2027 and 2028.

Following the All-Star game, Manfred was interviewed and seems to have changed his mind regarding who will be hosting All-Star weekend in 2027 and 2028 now stating that he has some decisions to make as they have multiple applications.
Efforts by the Blue Jays to make that happen continue, aiming to secure one of the two all-star games commissioner Rob Manfred plans to award before he retires as commissioner in January 2029. In February, he hinted that the Blue Jays and the Cubs are next in line but he was less committal Tuesday while speaking to members of the Baseball Writers' Association of America, saying, «I am going to have to make a decision on a couple of more games,» and «we have some really strong applications from clubs, is the best word.»

Manfred did say that he will be taking into account team that have not had an All-Star game in a long time which the Cubs and Blue Jays are are the top of that list.
Despite not mentioning the teams by their names this time, hopefully Manfred still plans on naming Toronto and Chicago as host cities before he retires in 2029.
