A recent update looks incredibly positive for the Toronto Blue Jays who seem to be very interested in bringing free agent Teoscar Hernandez back to Toronto.
Positive update announced regarding the Blue Jays and Teoscar Hernandez
Hernandez made it very clear at the end of the 2024 season that his main goal was to return to the Los Angeles Dodgers next season which is understand after a career year and winning the World Series there.
The Dodgers have yet to comment on if they plan on bringing Hernandez back but the according to sources, The Blue Jays are currently in second to land Hernandez this off-season behind the Dodgers.
Teoscar Hernandez has received multiple offers, but is still prioritizing re-signing with the Dodgers, sources tell me.
The Blue Jays are currently in 2nd, with the Red Sox a distant 3rd.
The Yankees are less of a priority. The Phillies and Reds have also checked in.
While the Dodgers might be his number one choice, they have yet to give the idea that they are interested which is why the Blue Jays might jump into that number one spot.
The Blue Jays need to make bringing Hernandez back a priority as his offensive ability is exactly what they need to help turn their offense around next season and pairing him with Vladimir Guerrero Jr could be incredible for them.
If the Blue Jays miss out on Hernandez, they might end up without any solid hitters this off-season as the board is starting to get cleared.
