Blue Jays Vladimir Guerrero Jr has stated in the past that he would never agree to play for the Yankees but in a recent interview said he has changed his mind.
Guerrero told ESPN that he has spoken to his family recently as they approach the trade deadline and would be open to going to New York in a trade as he understands it is a business.
"Sometimes one says things. It is not that I am trying to take back what I said about the Yankees," Guerrero told Virus Deportivo on Monday. "But this is a business. I sat down and spoke with my dad [Vladimir Guerrero Sr.] and my family, and this is a business. And I said I would never again talk about this topic and lots of people have asked me about it."
In 2022, Guerrero stated that he would never play for the Yankees due to personal reasons but it seems as though his thoughts have changed regarding the matter.
