Schneider gives update on Votto's future with the Blue Jays
Blue Jays manager John Schneider spoke to the media giving an update on Joey Votto's future with the Blue Jays as he continues to recover.
Votto has been out since Spring Training and has been slowly making his way back, playing in his first game with Dunedin last week. Votto is still dealing with some lower back tightness but is expected to play in some FCL games this week.
Joey Votto felt some lower back tightness and is «ramping back up.»
He's expected to get back into FCL games later this week, Schneider says. #BlueJays
While no one with the Blue Jays management has mentioned what the plan is for Votto once he is healthy, as the current roster continues to struggle, there is a slight chance he gets a shot in the Majors this season.
