Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider was recently on Sportsnet The Fan 590 with Jeff Blair and Kevin Barker to discuss the team's batting order for the upcoming season which involves some changes for Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

The Blue Jays had a very tough season offensively in 2024 which is why they are looking to switch some things around this season such as having a new lead off hitter instead of George Springer while making some other changes as well.

Schneider was interviewed this morning by Jeff Blair and Kevin Barker making some interesting comments about the team's batting order heading into the 2025 season which seems like good idea.
During the interview, Schneider stated that he wants to have Guerrero batting second this season with Anthony Santander hitting third since in the past he has had many sleepless nights when Guerrero misses an at bat because he is hitting third.
«2-3 will be Vlad and [Anthony Santander] I don't sleep well when a game ends with Vladdy on deck hitting 3 instead of 2.»

If the Blue Jays decide to have Bichette at leadoff with Guerrero batting second and Santander third, their first three batters will be a massive threat to opposing teams but they still need to figure out who will bat cleanup.
These three players are by far the best Blue Jays best offensive players and there is a significant drop off after them which is why figuring out who would hit fourth will be a very important decision to make.
It will be interesting to see how the Blue Jays do to start off the season on offense with the changes they have made this off-season.
