It seems like the same narrative is being repeated over and over: no matter who is in the lineup, the hitters fail to capitalize with runners in scoring position (RISP).

This was perfectly illustrated in last night's matchup with the Cleveland Guardians. The Toronto Blue Jays had the bases loaded with no outs in the first inning, but not a single player managed to make good enough contact to score a run.
The #BlueJays loaded the bases with no outs in the 1st inning but couldn't score.

Pop fly, strikeout, ground out.

Even as the names change from game to game, the heart of this lineup just isn't driving in enough runs.

It could have been that Daulton Varsho saw this tweet and took it personally, as he launched a grand slam later in the game. However, to have three bases-loaded opportunities in one game and capitalize on only one is shameful.
DAULTON VARSHO!!! GRAND SLAM ALERT! 🚨
