The Toronto Blue Jays announced brutal news this morning that prospect Addison Barger has unfortunately been optioned to Triple-A.
The Blue Jays told star rookie Alan Roden this morning that he has officially made the Opening Day roster which is why Barger is headed down to the minors to start the season.

MLB insider Keegan Matheson announced this morning that Roden has officially made the team but that a cut was also made which had many surprised which was Barger.
The news was announced moments ago that Barger has been optioned to Triple-A while Nathan Lukes and Myles Straw has won the final two spots on the Blue Jays bench to start the season.
Myles Straw and Nathan Lukes have made the roster, Schneider says.

Fans are happy that Roden has made the team because it was clear he believed it but at the same time are shocked that Barger was sent to the minors while Nathan Lukes made the team.
