Throughout Spring Training, the Toronto Blue Jays have been looking to complete their bullpen with the best guys for the job. Of course, this can be an impossible task sometimes. There are so many talented players out there. However, the Jays also have to think about competing with a stacked AL East. Well, after adding Bowden Francis to their Opening Day bullpen, they have finally filled their last spot.

That spot has gone to none other than Wes Parsons. Interestingly enough, this is only the second time he has ever made an Opening Day roster. It has been a pretty tough journey for the 31-year-old, who got his MLB start with the Atlanta Braves back in 2013. For the most part, he has been stuck in a relief pitching role. This extended to his time with the Colorado Rockies. Last season, he got one start with the Jays, although it resulted in a loss where he gave up 10 hits and nine runs.
Unfortunately, while he has made it to the Blue Jays roster, he will not get to start. Instead, he will be occupying a long-reliever role. This is mostly because in his five outings in Spring Training, he had an ERA of 4.22 and was unable to long a win. Regardless, he has been able to show a ton of promise, and that is something that Blue Jays will be banking on.
In fact, while playing for the Blue Jays' Triple-A team last season in Buffalo, Parson was able to go 9-4 which is certainly respectable. He also managed a 4.55 ERA during that stint. Needless to say, Parsons is someone that fans are going to have to watch out for this season. Only time will tell whether or not he can get it done.
