The State of Florida is currently in full evacuation mode as Hurricane Milton continues to approach and put the Toronto Blue Jays brand new facility in danger.

The Blue Jays have a state of the art facility in Dunedin Florida for the training complex in the off-season and as Milton approach, there are in dangerous territory but it looks like their facility will be safe.
Toronto decided to invest $100 million into their facility last season and it looks like they made sure that it is able to withstand the crazy Florida hurricanes which is perfect timing as Milton is near.

Manager John Schneider spoke to the media about the facility stating that t is basically hurricane proof and that it is even used as a shelter for people near by because of how well it is built.
«It's like it's hurricane proof,» manager John Schneider said in the aftermath of Helene. «People go there when there's hurricanes. It's like a shelter. Everything's good there.»

The facility is built on a higher ground and is on sturdy concrete for precisely this reason and it is four kilometers inland to avoid the real damages from the coast.
Built on higher ground with sturdy concrete, so far the facility has managed to avoid any significant damage when major storms ravage the area. Located some four kilometres inland, the PDC at least avoids the most significant coastal storm surges. -Longley
