The Toronto Blue Jays were sellers at this year's trade deadline but ended up getting quite a few great young players including Jake Bloss, Joey Loperfido and Will Wagner.

While none of the Blue Jays returns from the deadline were game changing players, they are all young and have serious potential to be part of the Blue Jays moving forward as they look to ocmpete in 2025.

The Blue Jays have big plans for Joey Loperfido, Will Wagner and Jake Bloss

When Loperfido arrived in Toronto he did very well in Triple-A but struggled at the plate in the majors but as he continues to progress, the Blue Jays seem to have plans for him as they are still looking for a replacement in the outfield.
A strong April to begin this year in Triple-A saw the Astros call up the outfielder but he struggled to find the power stroke in the big leagues but was putting the ball in play to the tune of a .333 average before being sent back down to Triple-A. -Shushkewich

By far one of the most interesting acquisitions for the Blue Jas at the deadline was Will Wagner who got called up to the majors and surpassed expectations as he did great the plate producing offense for the Blue Jays right away.
Following the trade, Wagner went to Triple-A Buffalo and continued to put the ball in play at an impressive rate, collecting 10 hits in 25 at-bats. It impressed the Jays brass so much that they promoted him to Toronto on Aug. 12 and the lefty batter impressed right from the get-go. He amassed eight hits through his first four games - three of which were doubles - and was cruising before a knee injury sent him to the sidelines in mid-September. Through the cup of coffee with the Blue Jays, Wagner authored a .305/.337/.451 slash line with eight extra-base hits and a .788 OPS. -Shushkewich

Bloss is another intersting prospect who started the year off in High-A and was in the majors by June with the Astros but was then traded to Toronto not too long after. Bloss only pitched one game for the Blue Jays before his season ended due to an injury and it was a rough outing but Toronto feels that there is still a ton of potential there.
Bloss made one start before a shoulder injury put him on the shelf, with the right-hander returning mid-July to make two more starts. In his foray into the big leagues, Bloss amassed a 6.94 ERA and a 7.62 WHIP, with a five-run outing against Oakland being the biggest dragging factor for his stats being a bit elevated amidst the small sample size.-Shushkewich

While as of right now, none of these players will be all-stars in the near future, they all have a ton of potential to be a big part of the Blue Jays roster one day.
