Blue Jays release statement regarding Orelvis Martinez

The Blue Jays finally called up Orelvis Martinez earlier this week after Bo Bichette went onto the IL and Daniel Vogelbach was released.
After being benched in his first few games, Martinez was finally put into the starting lineup up yesterday starting at second base and batting 8th in the order.

Congrats, Orelvis Martinez 👏
Martinez got his first hit in the 6th inning which was a single and following the hit, the cameras caught his dad celebrating in the crowd as he just watched his son get his first Major League hit.
The second baseman ended his day going 1 for 3 at the plate against the Guardians.
