The Toronto Blue Jays may have gotten above .500 this season, but it's clear they're facing their fair share of challenges when they have runners in scoring position.

The Jays are placed in a three-way tie for third in the fiercely competitive American League East. They currently hold a 9-8 record after their first 17 games.
Once again, the Blue Jays face challenges with runners in scoring position, mirroring their struggles from the previous season. Their .214 batting average in such situations ranks 28th in MLB, with just one home run, tying them for last, and a .643 OPS, placing them 27th in the league.
#BlueJays continue to have offensive woes with runners in scoring position 😬
So far this season, the Blue Jays have severely struggled to perform in clutch situations at the plate. Only 2 players: Justin Turner364) and Cavan Biggio (.304) have been successful with batting averages above .300 on the team.
To win games and be competitive, delivering with runners in scoring position is crucial for securing wins. These moments often decide close games, and players who can perform under pressure make all the difference. Conversely, missed opportunities in these situations can lead to losses, even when you have strong pitching.
The Blue Jays play the second matchup of their three-game set against the New York Yankees on Tuesday night at the Rogers Centre, with the first pitch set for 7:07 pm ET.
