The Blue Jays young prospect pitcher Landen Maroudis has been dominating in his first pro season after opting to go pro instead of college straight out of high school.

Maroudis was drafted in the fourth round of last year's draft by the Blue Jays and has been off to a great start in low-A ball. The 19 year-old has pitched in 10.7 innings so far this season, striking out 12 batters, he also has a 0.66 WHIP and a 0.84 ERA as well.
Maroudis has pitched well in his 10 2/3 innings of work this season. The righty currently has 12 K's, a WHIP of 0.66, and an ERA of 0.84.
The young prospect said he worked on his slider this off-season which has clearly paid off with the number he has been putting up.
"I added a harder, tighter slider over the off-season," explained Maroudis. "I added the slider to bridge the gap between my fastball and curveball."

Maroudis has been using a four-pitch mix so far this season of a 4-seam fastball, a changeup, a curveball, and a slider.
The young pitcher is currently ranked #12 on the list of top Blue Jay prospects but if he continues at this rate, he will continue to climb quickly and we may be seeing him in the Majors sooner than we think.
