The Toronto Blue Jays are looking at all possible options to better their lineup for this upcoming season and there could be some interest in Milwaukee Brewers Willy Adames.
Adames is coming off a solid season with the Brewers with a .251 batting average, .331 on base percentage to go along with 32 homeruns, 112 RBIs and 153 hits during the 2024 season.
As the Blue Jays look to improve their lineup and seem to be interested in parting ways with current shortstop Bo Bichette, signing 29 year old Adames might be a great replacement.
Willy Adames would be a perfect fit for the Blue Jays. Thoughts?

The Blue Jays are not only for a solid replacement at the shortstop position but they are only looking to bring in at least one solid hitter this off season which Adames fits the criteria.

He's a Free Agent after this season
While Adames would be a great fit in Toronto, they will need to make him a solid offer if they truly plan on landing him as he will be one of the bigger targets for this winter's free agent market as multiple teams are gunning for him.
Willy Adames feels like what the Red Sox were hoping Trevor Story would be when they signed him.
Great defense at SS. 30 HR pop. Good for 20 stolen bases. Going to strike out a good amount, but the pop + value on the bases will outweigh it.
I wouldn't move Casas for this path. But I would consider moving Devers to DH if they want a left side of the infield that includes Adames/Story. Then you can consider moving Marcelo Mayer in a deal for a front of the rotation arm.
Obviously gotta send Yoshida somewhere in this scenario. But it comes with improved defense and hopefully more offense with Devers not needing to play the field much.
