Hurricane Milton completely destroyed Tropicana Field's roof.
Thankfully those that were taking shelter in Tropicana Field were able to evacuate safely but this is a huge loss for those stuck in the area as the stadium was supposed to be a secure shelter for those in need.
Not only are those in the surrounding area in need of a new shelter but the Rays will have some serious renovations to do at the end of this Hurricane as the damages on their home field will only continue to get worse.
Fans joked online that the Rays would simply have to cut off their roof for Opening Day 2025 since there is barely anything left to try and salvage.
