Toronto Blue Jays star shortstop Bo Bichette has not played a game for the Jays since July 19th due to a calf strain, but with him finally back in action, we may same him backup in the majors soon.
Bichette had played in 3 rehab games since being cleared by Scott's and has not let his injury slow him down. With his 1-4 performance today that included an RBI single, he is now 3-10 in those starts.
When asked about his progress, Blue Jays manager John Schneider felt optimistic.
«Things are going well for him,» the big league skipper said. «We're just kind of seeing how he feels after each game and kinda going from there. Everything has gone according to plan in terms of the number of innings and number of at-bats.»
He did add that there is «no timetable» on his return but if he keeps performing like this, he'll be back up in no time.
