The Toronto Blue Jays are clearly all in on free agent pitcher Corbin Burnes and fans have been excited to see if they will land him but unfortunately it looks like they will have to wait a little longer according to the most recent report.

The Blue Jays apparently have the top offer on the table for Burnes but have yet to hear back from him or his agent Scott Boras as he is hoping the San Francisco Giants will raise their offer.
Blue Jays fans will have to wait a little longer for Corbin Burnes decision

Blue Jays fans have been hoping to hear news regarding the Burnes negotiations as the Blue Jays offer went out almost a week ago and while most expected him to make a choice by now, it looks like he is in no hurry.

According to a most recent announcement, Burnes is taking his time making his decision and there is a possibility that he only finally makes his decision after the Christmas Holidays.

This is unfortunate news for fans who will have to continue to wait to find out where Burnes is going next season as he is not looking to rush to a decision in case other teams show interest.
From the way it looks, it seems as though the Blue Jays offer is a solid one which is why Burnes is still considering it but clearly heading to Toronto is not at the top of his list which is why he is waiting to see if other teams will match the offer.
This is no surprise to the majority of the fanbase who has been stating that the Blue Jays will have a tough time signing free agents even if they make massive offers because the front-office does not seem to want to win.
The Blue Jays are in a tough spot because they are struggling to land big free agent players because of how the team is being run but at the same time they can't improve the roster because no one wants to come here.
The way this off-season is going, it is clear that a fresh start in the front-office is needed to change the mentality and hopefully this can change the way the Blue Jays are seen around the league but ownership does not seem to be going that way.
