It is starting to feel like groundhog day for Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts as he is on one of the worst hitting slumps of his career, coming at the worst opportune times in October baseball.
The Dodgers are taking on their biggest rivals in the San Diego Padres in the 2024 NLDS, and as it stands the series is tied as they lost a huge blow out 10-2 yesterday (October 6th). The one common theme is that Mookie Betts is not hitting and it is making a major negative impact on their ability to win games.
Betts is now 0-6 in this years NLDS and it looks like it is not getting better, Going back to last year, he is 0 for 22. To add salt to the wounds, he is also just three for 44 in his last 12 playoff games, dating to Game 4 of the 2021 NL Championship Series.

When asked about his struggles in the postseason, it was clear Betts was at a loss for words, his body language was completely dejected and just told the media that he doesn't what is going on with him.
«I don't really know what to say, bro,» he said.
As one of the core 3 on this team, if they have any chance at making a strong push to the World Series he needs to start hitting, plain and simple.
A big issue he stated was that he cares and maybe cares to much to a fault that the pressure gets to him.
Caring doesn't necessarily lead to results. Betts knows that, which is why he didn't make any promises. Asked how confident he was of producing in this series, he offered an honest response. «I'm confident I'm gonna keep giving my best,» he said.
