When New York Yankees star Jazz Chisolm Jr. was commenting on his teammate Alex Verdugo, his actions are now taking a lot of heat from Los Angeles Angels fans after insulting their teams and city.
While praising Yankees outfielder Alex Verdugo following Saturday's 6-5 win over the Kansas City Royals in Game 1 of t.he ALDS, Chisholm said, "He lives for this. He's played in big cities before. He played in Boston, he played in L.A., and I'm not talking about the Angels, you know what I mean?"
Since the video of him insulting the city and performance of the team, he has since come out and apologized for his comments. Chisholm was just highlighting the fact that Verdugo has the much needed experience in playing post season baseball as he played for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox. He unnecessarily had to clarify that the big city of "L.A" that he played for was not for the Angels, who have not made the playoffs since 2014.
The Yankees are currently leading the ALDS 1-0 against the Kansas City Royals but as it stands right now, in game 2, the Royals are up 4-1 and it looks like they are going to tie up there series.
